I have a 52 Farmall H that has a live hydraulic pump off the distributor drive. I got it non running because the block is broken. I recently picked up a 44 H engine with no hydraulic pump on it. I am currently doing a motor swap, putting the 44 H motor in the 52 frame.When you think of it, IH sold over 170,000 Farmall C and Super C tractors in a 6 year period from 1948 to 1954. I suppose that was a respectable amount. And in county plowing matches the Farmall Super C and it's mounted C214 plow could win every time against the Ford Jubilee and it's Dearborn 2 furrow 3 pt plow.The other thing is that the C123 engine serial numbers were started at the beginning of the Farmall 100 and 200 production. Prior to that they generally followed the tractor number as in the Super C. I know that on my Super C the engine serial number is 5 numbers short of the tractor number if the tractor number started at 1 (which it didn't).
