Aug 7, 2016 · Sudden Onset Failure to Extract Issue with G43. I am hoping the Glock Talk brain trust can help me out with a new issue with my Glock 43. The gun was purchased in May 2015 and has about 2500 rounds through it. I had some initial issues in the first 150 rounds that I think were magazine related, and the issue resolved itself. The Glock 43x and Glock 48 are intriguing submissions to solving the problem of grip sizes for all shooters. Essentially, the G48 is a single-stack Glock 19. My problem is with an unloaded magazine in the gun if I pull the slide all the way to open locked position I can't close slide. It won't release by pushing the slide stop lever or pulling back a little more on the slide and releasing. 1. The serial numbers wont match. 2. I am worried that the finish on my G43 slide wont be as nice as a new G43X. 3. The front slide serrations are not there. I really like the look of them on the G43X. 4.
