Starting in 1968 the numbers went to 2 digits (68V) because they had used 8v already for the first year of production in 1958. It is a 12 ga Browning A5, plain barrel, 2 3/4",made in belgium. It has Browning Arms Company St Louis Mo on top of barrel. Serial #42xx with a lighter stamped ' M ' above it. This is on bottom and forward of receiver. Barrel serial # is 2xx with an F above it. Matching last three numbers on receiver.
