Help Identifying a 38 S&W Special CTG. I have a 38 S&W Special CTG and would like to get some more information about it. There is a stamp between the cylinder and the trigger marked US-AC-16528. The serial number is 9976XX. There is no V prefix. There is also a marking D-43377. I believe it is a 4" barrel.

The gun is called a .38 Military & Police (M&P) revolver. After 1948 and the short throw action, it would become the Model 10 in 1957. K frame, square butt grips for the Model 10 will fit without problems.
