The mags are wider and longer for the G43X & G48. The grip/frame is longer & wider than the older G43. The G43X & G48 are all by themselves as far as mags and frames are concerned. One nice thing glock DID do, and i praise them highly for this, they kept the same internals from the G43 and brought them into the G43X & G48 platform.I have a 43x MOS which I feel is a great compromise between a smaller gun with a larger gun feel but still able to conceal. Actually, I really want a 26 and overall I'm happy with my 48 but I wonder if shorter is better some days. 43x is more enjoyable shoot and almost like a little all rounder that's a compact. You made the correct choice my friend. I chose the 48 because I planned to put a light on it, which would stick out on the 43x.
