Ruger security 9 problems.

Hello. I just signed up. I own and have owned many Rugers; rifles, semi-autos and revolvers. Generally, I have been very pleased with their reliability and accuracy. I took delivery of a Security-9 last week and went to the range yesterday. it is the most inaccurate out-of-the-box firearm I have ever owned.bubba68. Welcome to the forum. A semi auto that has the slide locked back will have a loose barrel that is the way it works until the slide goes into battery then the barrel will be tight in the slide with very minimal movement. Ruger sr9c problems. Hello from Va. I to am having similar problems with the sr9c; I actually got the gun for the wife. The first time to the range first 50 rounds shot flawlessly then problems began. First with a major jam followed by several trigger no resets. Sent back to Ruger, went to range, out of 150 rounds had 11 trigger no resets.The trigger on the Security 9's is of the internal hammer type like on the LCP2 pistol, and it is very smooth. Reviews that I have seen all report that the trigger is about 5#. That was my main reason for finding a S9C rather than going with the new Max (striker fired). Those were a Senechal trigger, Hogue grip sleeve and stainless steel guide rod with factory weight 17 lb spring. My impressions after firing 75 rounds today: The trigger is much better.Problems with the Security 9. Oh what a disappointment. And I like it so much. But it's an illusion.
