A museum housed on an aircraft carrier that happens to also be a national historic monument. The USS Intrepid actually served in World War II and Vietnam and helped out NASA in recovery missions. We had a short time in NYC and the day for our planned visit to the Intrepid just happened to be rainy. At first we were told not to go cause it's an outdoor museum but we said let's just go for it, since it's summer and a little rain never hurt anyone.
