The Wilson’s are a bit more money and they feel a little more polished - like fancier and well broken in smoothness. The Baer is tight and needs to be broken in and feels more no nonsense and less options. Depending on you and what you are looking for, one of them will speak to you a bit louder than the other.
The Wilson is a great shooter with a great trigger. Based on my experience with the full size DWX, I expect the DWX Compact to be pretty darn good too. size wise they are within a fraction of one another for height and overall length and weight. The Wilson weighed in at 29.9 ounces and the DWX weighed 30.2 ounces.Keep in mind that the resale value on most quality 1911's (including DW), tends to stay within 300 to 500 of what you originally paid (all other things being equal).
