Do an oil change and shoot some oil into the cylinders through the spark plug holes so they don't start dry. Even lightweight WD-40 is better than nothing .Bardahl and Amsoil make synthetic fork oil. I think you would be fine with the Honda fork oil or any other name brand. Pour in 4 quarts of quality oil and start the engine for a minute and shut off allow 5 minutes before checking level. There you go, perfect oil level with 4 qts of oil that the ENGINE requires. When screwing on the new filter, make sure to lubricate the rubber o-ring with a little bit of the old oil from the drain pan. Tighten the new filter by hand and then only about 1/4 to 1/2 of a turn at most beyond hand tight is plenty to prevent leakage since you are sealing the oil filter to the engine case with the rubber o-ring.
