The truck does not chime of the key is in ignition and the door or open. I know the door switch works as the lights turn on/off as they should. Just the chime doesn't sound.My 2016 GMC Sierra display goes nuts , drops calls when I'm on the phone , changes channels , even changes the time on me by itself . Easy fix. Their is a wire (blue) that's become loose that connects to the radio Modual located behind the glovebox on the right side. Remove glovebox door , remove panel.Behind the panel you will see a Modual that mounted sideway , blue wire should connect to the box from left hand. Remove Modual and Unplug the wire and then plug back up.

The wiring harness that runs from the MBEC under the dash (which appears controls passenger side windows and power seats), was being pinched by the parking brake release.

There are 2 intermittent problems on my new 2011 Silverado 1500 LT radio system: when I listen to people on radio, I hear scratches and the voice is sometimes distorted. So went from black screen of death to needing a update. I have a 2016 so I don't have the built-in wireless update. I would need to go to GM for an update.It looks like there was the OTA update that was sent to the "Radio" And that had also triggered an update in the Instrument cluster for the main ECU and something called "graphic update". He re-forced the graphic update and then after that was able to re update the ECU. Through my purchase process I test drove the 2014 Silverado as well and while driving it noticed that the radio home screens are customization in terms of icon order and layout as well as themes.
